"Stress Position" is a fourth season episode of the television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent. It reintroduces Detective Mike Logan back into the Law & Order franchise.
In this episode, Detectives Goren and Eames are investigating the brutal murder of a corrections officer.
The investigation leads Goren and Eames to a man released on parole who could be implicated in the murder, but soon they discover a clue that reveals the many secrets hidden behind the walls of a corrupt Brooklyn prison where unaccounted-for prisoners are secretly abused by the guards.
The key witness to exposing the ring is a prison nurse, who happens to be dating Detective Mike Logan. Since Goren and Eames are unable to get help from the woman, Logan is assigned by Captain Deakins to their team in order to find out exactly what is happening at the prison. As Logan aids Goren and Eames in their probe, they discover an unseemly political connection.
Ultimately, Goren, Logan and his girlfriend must jeopardize their lives inside the foreboding walls of the prison.
